[The camera feed clicks on to Jane, Tenten, and a Bisharp. Jane looks awfully cheerful, as does Tenten. They finally got to meet up and as promised- Jane is teaching Tenten how to make chocolate. Sure the gifts would be a little late, BUT WHATEVER.]

Happy Valentine's day to everyone out there!

[Tenten’s not been the most successful one in the kitchen. Her fingers and forearms are coated in chocolate (how is a mystery for the ages), and there’s what’s probably cocoa powder smeared on her nose and cheeks (another mystery).]

Yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day! I guess? [Really she’s not all that sure why she’s on video for this other than to brag about their chocolate-making attempts?? Jane could totally have handled this part on her own.]

[Through convincing and flattery they have gotten Dart (the Bisharp) to wear an apron and help them out- so that probably looks pretty funny. Jane is pretty sure she explained to Tenten why they had to get on camera for this one, but it doesn’t matter. THEY NEEDED TO SAY HI TO THEIR KANTO FRIENDS SOMEHOW.]

We’ve actually made quite a lot and have some extras. So we highly encourage that you get in contact with us about getting some before we run out. [She holds up the tray, LOOK AT THESE. They are definitely heart shaped and knife shaped chocolates. Can you tell who made what. I bet you can’t.]

Some of you guys need to keep an eye out for a Pokémon headed your way. I already attached a couple boxes to them and sent them out, but since we only got them done today, it’s gonna be a little late. If you got a message from me, you know you’re getting something, I guess?

[Wow way to be exclusionary Tenten. Amazing.]

Anyone else can just ask. [And she glances toward Jane because hey, the other girl is the one who made sure the chocolates actually looked like what they’re supposed to be shaped like and that they won’t have a poison filling. And that they’ll taste good on top of all that.]

[Jane goes to end the feed, that is until one of those goo-like Pokemon just, falls in front of the camera. Jane nearly shrieks at the sight, taking a step back and observing the little goo pile looking back up at her. More at Jane’s shriek than at the sight of the Pokémon itself, Tenten grabs the closest weapon-like thing she can find -- a cooking spoon left to rest in one of the bowls from mixing the chocolate -- and points it at the little blob. Splattering chocolate on it and the camera in the process.]

[John has somehow managed to amass a small entourage of Bloobers, which are milling idly around and on him when he turns on the feed. He's sitting on the back porch. Apparently Rose is still not letting him inside without the blobs.]

Happy Velenslime's Day, girls. [He's still calling it that, apparently.] Are you both alright?

[John. John that is far too many Bloobers. John what are you doing.]

We're fine John, thanks! [She smiles and just shakes her head, twirling a wooden cooking spoon in one hand. There's still a few streaks of chocolate on it from when it'd been used for mixing, but she'd already licked most of it clean (and splattered some on an innocent Bloober). Not even touching Valenslimes thanks.]

Where's Rose, though? I kind thought you guys'd be busy today.

[John looks around shiftily, even though he's sitting outside in his yard and he knows Rose isn't out here. Bloober #6, you won't tell her, right? You are sworn to secrecy.]

Well Rose made me breakfast this morning! She also covered the house in "I love you" sticky notes. It was really dorky, but super cute. [Also they kissed a lot.] But we're going out to dinner tonight, which is something we mutually agreed upon and both know is a thing that is happening, obviously. But I do have one little surprise planned for her after that!

I'm going to take her up on the roof to watch the sunset and give her her present. And then give her an extra special massage before bed. [He wiggles his fingers at the screen before it seems to dawn on him that that could potentially sound weird.] Th-that's not a euphemism or anything! I'm really just going to give her a massage, that's all!

[She's literally leaning on the counter with her chin in her hands listening to this. Wow John, maybe it's disgustingly sappy but it's still really cute. And maybe she's jealous but you know what who cares about that this is about John being happy.

Both eyebrows quirk way up at the special massage, then she bursts out laughing, covering her mouth with one hand to try to hide her blush.]

Uh-huh, [she teases, not about to let it go until he's as embarrassed as she is.] Sure that's what you're gonna do. I don't know if the roof is the right place for that, though.

I didn't get her anything. I made her something instead! Well...in a way, at least. It's a date jar! I got a bunch of popsicle sticks and painted them different colors. And then wrote date ideas on each one, depending on what color the stick was. Red are dates that take lots of time and planning, and typically involve traveling. Like going on a cruise again or going to the hot springs in Blackthorn. Pink sticks are dates that take some time and planning but are more localized. Stuff like going to see the Kimono Girls or going out for karaoke or something. And finally, white sticks are stay at home dates. Which...I think speak for themselves.

[They are basically exactly what it says on the tin.]

So she gets to pick our dates until she runs out of sticks! I put a few wild card ones in there too. Like for her to pick what we do, essentially a blank stick aside from the color type.

I hope she will! I mean it was fairly easy to put together but it took me a while to come up with some really good date ideas. I've actually been working on this thing since before Christmas...

Well it's not like I was working on it constantly for two months! I mean I made her Christmas present too. I just thought it would be better to gradually come up with ideas as opposed to trying to come up with a whole bunch last minute. It was a gradual thing, I just kinda wrote date ideas down as they came to me to be sure I had a decent amount of them by the time February rolled around.

Violet is the worst. I was stuck there for months when I first got here because everybody kept fucking disappearing and coming back every other week. Like...every time we got about ready to leave, we'd be thwarted at the last minute because we had to wait for somebody else or somebody fell into a coma and the whole thing was just a mess. And on top of that there's...nothing really to do in violet. After about a week, you've seen it all and you just want to get the hell out because the music starts driving you crazy and I am convinced that Violet is not actually a city at all but some kind of void where happiness goes to die and boredom reigns supreme and Violet City is basically just the worst. That's really all that needs to be said on the matter.

[Jesus Christ, John, breathe. You're doing that thing where you start ranting and forget to breathe. Also you sound like a loon.]

Anyway, I've actually been having a lot of fun here, even if the city itself is no Goldenrod. I mean, it's me and Jane mostly, but I've been fighting Dave and Jade is really cool too. [She lowers her voice and leans closer to the camera as she adds,] Even if I'm kind of afraid something's going to get eaten by her hair someday...

I kicked his ass a few times, yeah! But not as often as I'd like. I've said before he's a really good fighter, so I've had to adapt some of my techniques.

Maybe the ones that are breaking and entering are just a little confused. Like...a couple of months back, there was this botched seance that lead to a basically every fossil ever being resurrected. Most of them ended up going on rampage but there were a fair few who were really harmless and somehow wound up in buildings and stuff.

[He leans over, picking something up from somewhere off screen. Ah. An Omanyte.]

DJ here is one of them. I found him swimming in my toilet one morning.

Goodness, this place never ceases the surprises then, does it? Perhaps the same happened to these little guys then. An accidental discovery and them some of them separating from their little group.

[John sets DJ down in his lap and the little Omantye immediately turns its attention to one of the Bloobers, giving the blob a friendly frisk with its tentacles.

Could be! They don't really seem to be in a super rush, wherever it is they're going. I mean they clearly have a destination in mind but if they get a little sidetracked along the way they don't seem to care? Though I can't think of anything that's happened recently that would have caused them all to appear...

I really hope that we can find out more information on them, I'm really curious about a lot of things surrounding them. I've been watching the network since the last time we spoke. But there really aren't any leads.
