[The camera feed clicks on to Jane, Tenten, and a Bisharp. Jane looks awfully cheerful, as does Tenten. They finally got to meet up and as promised- Jane is teaching Tenten how to make chocolate. Sure the gifts would be a little late, BUT WHATEVER.]

Happy Valentine's day to everyone out there!

[Tenten’s not been the most successful one in the kitchen. Her fingers and forearms are coated in chocolate (how is a mystery for the ages), and there’s what’s probably cocoa powder smeared on her nose and cheeks (another mystery).]

Yeah, Happy Valentine’s Day! I guess? [Really she’s not all that sure why she’s on video for this other than to brag about their chocolate-making attempts?? Jane could totally have handled this part on her own.]

[Through convincing and flattery they have gotten Dart (the Bisharp) to wear an apron and help them out- so that probably looks pretty funny. Jane is pretty sure she explained to Tenten why they had to get on camera for this one, but it doesn’t matter. THEY NEEDED TO SAY HI TO THEIR KANTO FRIENDS SOMEHOW.]

We’ve actually made quite a lot and have some extras. So we highly encourage that you get in contact with us about getting some before we run out. [She holds up the tray, LOOK AT THESE. They are definitely heart shaped and knife shaped chocolates. Can you tell who made what. I bet you can’t.]

Some of you guys need to keep an eye out for a Pokémon headed your way. I already attached a couple boxes to them and sent them out, but since we only got them done today, it’s gonna be a little late. If you got a message from me, you know you’re getting something, I guess?

[Wow way to be exclusionary Tenten. Amazing.]

Anyone else can just ask. [And she glances toward Jane because hey, the other girl is the one who made sure the chocolates actually looked like what they’re supposed to be shaped like and that they won’t have a poison filling. And that they’ll taste good on top of all that.]

[Jane goes to end the feed, that is until one of those goo-like Pokemon just, falls in front of the camera. Jane nearly shrieks at the sight, taking a step back and observing the little goo pile looking back up at her. More at Jane’s shriek than at the sight of the Pokémon itself, Tenten grabs the closest weapon-like thing she can find -- a cooking spoon left to rest in one of the bowls from mixing the chocolate -- and points it at the little blob. Splattering chocolate on it and the camera in the process.]

Well, it used to be that I was a year older than them all, but now they're two or three years older. And from all accounts, the future's not all that good, anyway.

So a combination of awkwardness and upset over the news they brought. I can see that making things difficult. I'm sorry to hear that's what you have to look forward to...

Basically! [She shrugs and forces another smile.] I'll be alright, though. It's just part of being a ninja.

[Being a ninja sounds like it sucks.]

Well, if you say so. I can't say I'd deal as well with being here without anyone else from my world, so... it's kind of impressive, really.

You think so? [She huffs a quiet laugh and shakes her head with a smile.] I think I'm just being adaptable. I mean, I know I'm going to see everyone, so I'll be alright.

Mmm. I guess there isn't really much to say on the subject beyond that, is there?

It's new! But I'm used to not having people around me in person.

You like to cook and bake a lot though, huh? I wouldn't be surprised. Nannasprite loved baking. Even if those cakes sometimes ended up on us and not in us a lot of the time.

[Her usual cheerful demeanor is much more muted. Maybe musing a bit.]

They're very strong and it would be impossible to use them and avoid civilian casualty. I don't like them a lot. It's so destructive. I'm glad that we have much more positive discoveries through nuclear energy. Ones that help and save people instead of kill.

Not everything created is for the better, but that doesn't mean there isn't a lot of great things out there too. [She's glad that Tenten would never want to use a weapon so destructive.]

Have you been adapting well to having this many people around you?

Well, I do enjoy cooking and baking so that other people are happy. Though rest assured! None of the cake will end up on you.

Sure, why not? If one universe has them, why can't some others? Multiple universes have, like, cats, right? [ SHE'S MOSTLY SURE ON THAT but may be assuming ]

Yeah. I mean, don't get me wrong, I like bombs. Some day I'd like to work on summoning stuff that can explode using ninja techniques. But not...

[She hesitates, giving it careful thought, before shaking her head again.]

I don't get it. I understand why people fight individually. Or even why nations might be opposed to each other. But what I don't get is why anyone'd take out civilians on purpose.

I didn't think about it like that! I mean, where I'm from has cats. And ninja cats. Does your world have those, too? Ninja-animals, I mean?

Yes. More populated places can be a little scary, but I'll be okay. I just don't try to talk to everyone. That would be too much.

I don't know if I can completely believe that! You are related to John after all.

I think it's a tactic? Probably to pressure the other side by aiming for innocent lives to get them to surrender. I don't understand it myself.

But I'm not the best person to understand about waging war against each other. It just seems kind of low to resort to aiming for people who can't defend themselves as well as those trained to do it.

I have cats! Ninja-animals, ummmm [ giving this a legit amount of thought ] I don't think so, but how can you tell whether an animal is a ninja or not?

Yeah, right? That's exactly what I'd think, too...

[Tenten just shakes her head and crosses her arms.]

You know, the more I hear about the place you guys all come from... the more I'm happy I ended up here instead of there, you know? If I had to end up somewhere that wasn't home, I mean.

They'll usually say so. Most of them can talk! I'm sure you'd know if you ever met a ninja-animal or not.

Well. I wouldn't really recommend ending up where we came from specifically, since Earth is gone! So I'm glad you ended up here instead of there too. [There's nothing left of Earth and they don't really know what's gonna happen after SBURB.]

I think anyone would be overwhelmed by that. unless they are truly that social.

Where do you think John got it from? [She totally cracked a joke.]
